With a background in fashion and costume design, I’ve always believed that clothing and accessories can be more than just functional, they can be expressive, personal, and deeply meaningful. I wanted to bring that philosophy into a new creative collaboration with my husband Dan.
Together, we’ve transformed his paintings into wearable art, beginning with the tote bag, a practical piece elevated by intention and artistry. Each design starts from one of his original paintings that I adapt thoughtfully to complement the proportions of the image into a tote, drawing on my background in patternmaking and design to ensure the final product is both beautiful and functional. Every detail of the bag is deliberately chosen, from the placement of the artwork, Dan’s signature, the fabric linings and finishing touches. The goal is to create a durable, beautifully crafted piece that feels as special as the original painting.
The result is a one-of-a-kind everyday tote bag that carries more than just your essentials, it carries a story of partnership, creativity, and the blending of two artistic worlds.
